Ever since I can remember, winters have been mediocre affairs, with a long, grey, wet and windy period between the lighter months. In recent years we’ve had more snow. This year, winter came early, starting in November. Who says climate change is made up?
Here we see Ingleborough, one of Yorkshire’s “Three Peaks”, after winter’s first snowfall, wearing a wig of white cloud.
The road from Chapel-le-Dale to Horton-in-Ribblesdale was deserted. I took the opportunity to get out and find a nice spot to take a photograph of Pen-y-Ghent, one of Yorkshire’s “Three Peaks”.
