The Ingleton Waterfalls trail is in a privately-owned estate. It costs to get in. It’s only a short walk from the village of Ingleton, just off the main route from Skipton to the Lake District, which passes through earthy sounding places like Long Preston and Hellifield. It’s a relatively easy walk (being under five miles), unless you attempt it on one of the hottest days of the year. We also had the added bonus of having to share it with hundreds of school kids.
I think I counted seven waterfalls, but I could be wrong. I photographed most of them, but it’s not always easy to do waterfalls justice, unless you spend hours mucking about with tripods and filters, and I was there for a nice walk with my good lady wife, and ice lollies. Of course, that’s probably just an excuse for not having a great waterfall photo.
