I know you’re all concerned about the young foxes, so I thought I’d give an update. They are doing well, and will soon be bigger than mum (which isn’t saying much). Dad hasn’t been seen for weeks, so it’s usually the vixen who is seen guarding the scrapping cubs. She caught me mowing the lawn last week and didn’t bat an eyelid—almost blasé on both sides, I pressed on with the chore. The cubs are (thankfully) much more cautious and hide behind their mother. Soon, they may be brave enough to venture out on their own. And, in another month or so, they will be gone.
