Bridge over the river Aire

This bridge over the river Aire at Saltaire is actually a canal aqueduct.

The river Aire snakes its way through Saltaire, occasionally topping up the Leeds-Liverpool canal along the way. Here we can see a snowy scene from underneath the canal aqueduct. The photo was my lovely wife’s idea. Maybe she should carry the camera.

There’s not much I can say about this scene, other than it was the end of March, and most Brits were thoroughly fed up of the long winter by this time, and I was fed up of people joking about Global Warming being a good idea.
