At Crosby beach, there’s a naked man on the beach. Actually, there are 100 naked men on the beach and in the sea. It’s collectively known as Another Place, a sculpture by Antony Gormley.

Each lifesize bronze cast is a replica of the artist – in the buff. And no, he doesn’t have huge disc-like nipples and leg warts.

I’m not quite sure how I feel about it. It certainly makes an otherwise wide and flat beach more interesting. But sharing it with 100 naked men?

He does seem rather peaceful though. A lot more peaceful than I’d be, if someone was making a cast of me in the nuddy. I’d be a bit nervous of anything getting stuck while removing the set cast.

So, I’d say I was generally positive about this bit of public art, which is more than I can say for this canine critic.
