Fire-Dancing in Castlefield
Just as I was packing up, after my evening visit to the Castlefield bridges, a bunch of edgy-looking arty types appeared, kitted out with interesting-looking equipment. It turns out, they were practising their fire-dancing routine, and they were happy to be photographed in action... [see more]
Castlefield
Castlefield is a regenerated district of central Manchester. Not only was it an industrial transport hub, being the terminus of the Bridgewater Canal, but it was once the site of a Roman castle (hence the name). Of course, like all former northern industrial sites, it was left to rot, before it was saved from rust and gravity... [see more]
