Saltaire’s New Mill is often mistakenly called Salt’s Mill, but it was built 15 years later, and sits across the Leeds–Liverpool canal from it. It was recently converted to offices and apartments. The weir, in the foreground, is on the river Aire, and you can often see a grey heron wading about in the rushing water.
