A photograph of Kirkstall Abbey, in Leeds. New Year’s Day is a tricky one. Everyone’s off work or school, and there’s nothing to do. The visitors’ centre was shut, so we had to make do with horsing about, around the ruins. All the food places were shut too. Fortunately, Harry Ramsden’s wasn’t.
