I’ve lived in Yorkshire for 23 years, and I’ve only just found out about this gorge, a few miles north of Pateley Bridge, near a village called Lofthouse. It’s privately-owned, and for a reasonable fee you can hire a hard-hat and a torch and go exploring in the stream and caves.
